10: Firm Decisions

1 Kings 2:19-27

Solomon made a decision to kill Adonijah after Adonijah did not repent from his sin of trying to usurp the throne from Solomon, which is against God’s will. Solomon had to go against his mother’s request, the same person who fought for him to be able to become king.

I need to make decisions that are based on God’s will, even though it may be hard and may cause some people to dislike or turn against me. Decisions that are selfish (Adonijah) and self-seeking will end up being rejected by God.

Dear God, teach me to make decisions according to Your will. Give me courage to make decisions even when it’s unpopular. Let me learn also to let go of relationships that will draw me away from You.
